On 3-8 June Wakeboard Cable Krk will host Luminox Krk Handi Wake – an international IWWF ranked ***wakeboard and wakeskate competition for Juniors and Open, including the Seated category for disabled riders!
A traditional Krk Handi Tricks – wakeboard school and competition for disabled, hosted every June since 2004, this year for the first time welcomes all wakeboarders and wakeskaters to take part. The event starts on Monday, 3 June, with all-week trainings for disabled riders. Official training and the qualifying rounds will be on Friday, 7 June in the afternoon, and the finals in all categories on Saturday, 8 June 2013.

Our official opening date 2013 will be Friday, 26 April. Although we initially meant to open on Easter weekend and work weekends in April, bad weather troughout the winter prevented us from completing maintenance on time.
To make this day packed with good riding even more fun, our speaker Marko Petar Oreskovic and DJ Jericho of Balance Crew rocked all day long and made sure everyone had a good time.

Wakeboard center Cable Krk will on Saturday, 22 September host Luminox Wakeboard Croatian & Slovenian Nationals.
The event starts on 10 a.m. with qualification rounds. Finals are scheduled for 2 p.m. and we expect around thirty best Croatian and Slovenian riders to take part.

International wakeboard school & competition for disabled
Sports & recreational center Cable Krk (Croatia) from 11 to 16 June hosted Krk Handi Tricks, ninth in a row traditional wakeboard school and competition for disabled..
Participants from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and France took part, varying from absolute beginners to high level riders. The program was concluded on hot sunny Saturday with great atmosphere and performance on the water.
The day started with Croatian wakeboard team qualifications for Cable Wakeboard Europeans in September in Toulouse, France. Four riders in three categories qualified: Mara Parentic and Paula Babic in Girls category, Rudolf Dekovic in Boys and Nikola Vranesic in Open Men.
Seven competitors took part at Krk Handi Tricks, with qualifaing rounds at 11 and finals at 15 in the afternoon. The usual wakeboard course allowing water and obstacle tricks across a length of the three hundred meters, was overviewed by three judges. The results were multiplied by a coefficient that represents the degree of disability.
Winner of the day was Philippe Turchet from France, a longtime competitor and the chairman of the division for disabled of the International waterski and wakeboard federation. Emanuele Pagnini from Italy was second, only 0,4 points before Zdravko Lakic from Croatia, who came in third.
Marko Petar Oreskovic as a great moderator kept everyone smiling all day long and DJ Preddy from Austria kept perfect mood after the prize giving ceremony and troughout the evening at the after party in Piccolo bar in Punat with a selection of funk, reggae and chill out hip hop.
Main sponsors of the event were city Krk, Tourist board of city Krk, Hotel Park Punat, Heineken, Optima telekom & company Svijet mora that runs Wakeboard center Cable Krk.
The participation was free for everyone, and all participants received prizes and goodies from the sponsors.
Krk Handi Tricks has been held since 2004 at sports and recreation centre Cable Krk. The aim of this manifestation has always been presenting waterskiing and wakeboarding to the general public as a great recreational sport for the disabled.

From Monday 11 June till Saturday 16 June 2012 Wakeboard Center Cable Krk will once again host Krk Handi Tricks – Wakeboarding school and competition for disabled.
Krk Handi Tricks is a traditional week of great fun and instructive lessons, and we’re sure looking forward to it
The training involves competitors from European countries, mainly paraplegic athletes, who practice wakeboarding sitting on a specially adapted wakeboard. Newcomers train together with the advanced riders and during this week instructors are available to all every day from 10 till 21 hours.
The official hotel of the event is Hotel Park in Punat. Please mind the deadlines for booking as the number of wheelchair accessible rooms is limited.

Wakeboard center “Cable Krk” in Punat bay on the island Krk, Croatia, hosted for the second time a dynamic entertaining sports spectacle “Cable Krk Jam” from 9 till 11 September 2011.
The backbone of this creative project is the cable wakeboard and wakeskate competition combined with graffiti art, appearances by renowned DJs from the region and live hip hop acts.
53 riders from 10 European countries took part at the international wakeboard and wakeskate competition by IWWF (International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation). The competition was ranked for the Croatian Wakeboard Tour Overall and the IWWF World rankings. Prizes of a total value of 3.000 euro included presents from Carhartt, Oakley and O’Neill and cash prizes from Tag Heuer, Hypo-Alpe-Adria Bank and Desperados. Riders competed in three age categories in wakeboard and open categories for men and women in wakeboard and wakeskate. The winners in the most intense categories, Boys Wakeboard and Open Men Wakeboard were Timo Kapl from Austria and Robert Pokovec from Slovenia, impressing both the judges and the numerous spectators at wakeboard center Cable Krk. Beautiful weather and perfect conditions for riding throughout the weekend were a real joy for both riders and spectators of Cable Krk Jam.
DJ Preddy (Austria), DJ Jericho (Balance Crew) and Dj Da Costa (Fanatiks) provided the fine selection of hip hop, funk & reggae, and the entire atmosphere reached a new level with live acts of popular hip hop band from Rijeka Balance Crew (www.balance-lifestyle.com).
The dynamic weekend also featured a graffiti session by Sec on the parking lot and the main building of Wakeboard center Cable Krk
After the emotional prize giving ceremony the R’n'B EXCLUSIVE after party continued by early morning hours in Club Jungle in Krk with Dj Jericho and Dj Costa.
The event organizers are the Croatian Waterski Federation, Wakeboard club Krk and Balance, a non profit organization from Rijeka. The goal of this project is the affiliation of wakeboarders, wakeskaters, graffiti artists and all other admirers of music, fashion and this whole lifestyle which makes this event a unique weekend of sports and entertainment.

For the second time Wakeboard center Cable Krk will be hosting the ”Cable Krk Jam“, taking place from the 9th till 11th of September in the bay of Punat on the island Krk. A dynamic entertaining sports spectacle combining wakeboarding, wakeskating and graffiti art along with appearances by renown DJs from the region.

The backbone of this creative project is the Cable wakeboard and wakeskate championship with about sixty participants from Europe competing for valuable prizes, points for the Croation Tour, and points for the overall IWWF ranking.
The event will be accompanied by DJ Preddy (Personal rec.) from Austria, DJ Jericho (Rijeka – Balance Crew) and DJ Da Costa (Fanatiks – Balance Crew) with a selection of hip hop, RnB, funk and reggae. The famous hip hop group “Fanatiks” along with “Sova Animale” will also be appearing for the first time, performing live.
This years graffiti session will be executed by well known “writers” from Rijeka, coloring the atmosphere with graffiti art on attractive locations at the Cable Krk Center.
The official training and qualifications will be held on Friday Sept. 9th 2011. The opening day will also be the start of the graffiti session, which will last until the very end of this three day spectacle. Saturday Sept. 10th 2011. is reserved for the main, and most attractive happening, the finals of the wakeboard and wakeskate competition, with the music show lasting daylong up until the prize giving ceremony in the evening.
The afterparty will be held in club Jungle, Krk, hosted by the popular RnB Exclusive label, with DJ Jericho and DJ Da Costa spinning the very best in Hip Hop and RnB.
