On Sunday, 13 September 2009 wakeboard Center Cable Krk hosted sixth
Croatian & Slovenian Nationals, and the event also scored as the
Croatian Wakeboard tour finals. Lovro Klepac, the best Croatian
junior and Open champion 2008 unfortunately missed the comp because
of the injury, and made it easier for Slovenian Robert Pokovec to
win the Nationals and the Tour overall in Men category. Among
Croatian and Slovenian girls Slovenian Naja Puhan dominated the tour
and the Nationals, and in Wakeskate category expectedly won Daniel
Ratkovic from Rijeka.
The best Croatian club was Wakeboard club Krk, followed by Wakeboard
club Zrce on the second place and Wakeboard club Boardforce from
Zagreb on the third place.
Big thanks goes to the chief judge Aaron Armborst from Germany and
chief scorer Alex Koester from Great Britain, who orchestrated the
live streaming of the entire competition. Soon the video highlights
will follow.
Cro Board prizes were provided by Wakeboard centar Cable Krk, City
Krk, municipalities Baska and Dobrinj, tourist boards of city Krk
and Punat, and O'Neill, Fox and Powerade.
Croatian wakeboard Tour organizers are Wakeboard centers Cable Krk
and Cable Pag, Wakeboard club Boardforce and Sport Fest, and proud

cable park that awarded the best riders with a wakeboard holiday in
Antalya, Turkey.
All Croatian tour comps are registered with Croatian waterski
Federation and International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF).
6th year in a row Cable
Krk hosted Krk Handi Tricks - international cable wakeboard
competition for disabled. From 8 till 12 June riders from France,
Austria and Croatia were training, some of them making their first
cable starts, and some mastering the obstacles and tricks on the
water. On Saturday, 13 June, they competed in an event carried out
according to the standard CWWC cable wakeboard rules. A sunny week
ended with Philippe Turchet from France taking the title and
everyone having loads of fun and making new friendships while
training and partying as riders ever do:))
CWT 2009 is a series of
two cable and one boat wakeboard competitions, aimed to promote
wakeboarding in Croatia and Slovenia.
Riders of all
nationalities are invited to take part at first 2 events, while 3rd
event – Cro Board is the National Championship and as such
restricted for Croatian and Slovenian riders. All riders that take
part at individual events are eligible to win prizes of the day, and
at Zrce Open all riders will also earn points for CWWC international
rankings by IWSF.
Croatians and Slovenians
will be awarded the tour overall prizes.

won this title as the Croatian Open Champion and 5th at the European
